Wendy started out in rescue in February of 2015 but has been a dog lover her whole life. In 2013, after losing her beloved white German Shepherd, she felt the need to reach out to a rescue and foster. Her first foster ended up a foster fail (our term for when a foster adopts the dog), and Callie became a part of her family. Since she adopted her very first foster, she and her husband thought it would be best if she took a “break” from fostering. Well in 2015, she found her true calling and started fostering and working her way up in rescue. She added rescue to her already busy schedule of being a wife, mom to 3 kids, 3 dogs of her own, and working full time with Country Financial. She “delivered” her litter of puppies in 2015, found homes for 6 pups, and then foster failed again with momma dog and Mona Bea was added to the family. She has a true passion for animals and has fostered over 150 animals. Her children are excellent little rescue helpers too! We are so happy to have Wendy (who am I kidding, she’s the one in charge).
